ENG2614

Question 1

In your opinion, which passage is Al generated and which is human created?
Identify and discuss some of the narrative elements that are present in the
different passages? Do the narrative elements differ between the passage you
think is AI generated and the passage you consider to be human generated? Use
quotes from the passages to support your argument.

In these two stories, one was written by a person, and the other was made by a
computer (AI). To figure out which is which, we can look at how the stories are told, like
how the characters talk, how things are described, and the emotions shown. Even
though both stories have heroes and action, there are some differences that can help us
tell them apart. Let’s look closely at the stories to see which one feels more like it was
written by a person and which might be from an AI.

The first story talks about Black Panther getting ready to rescue people. He is cool and
calm when he says, "I never freeze," but inside, he is nervous because he will see
someone important to him again. The writer shows his feelings by describing his heart
rate. The actions are written clearly, like when Black Panther "descended through the
clouds, graceful as a dancer," which gives a clear picture in the reader's mind. The
scene feels calm but tense, as Black Panther waits for the right moment to attack the
bad guys.

In the second story, a girl named Amina is being chased by a group of bad people
called the Iron Serpents. Black Panther comes to help her, fighting the bad guys in a
very dramatic way. The writing here is more action-packed and exciting, using words
like “His eyes burned with an otherworldly fire" to make Black Panther seem very
powerful. The bad guy, Kazeem, is also described in a simple way, as a greedy and evil
