Unit 1 – Business Environment
P1: Web article on Boohoo

Boohoo is an online business retailer, aiming 16 – 30
year olds to make more and more sales, for profit. The business is UK-based and has lots of
unique fashion styles according to their target market’s likes and dislikes. It was established
in 2006, and grew strongly from being Manchester’s best kept fashion secret to becoming one
of the rapidly growing global retailers. According to the BBC news 2018, Boohoo.com made

economical prices and is still trying to be the best they can be. Moreover, Wikipedia stated
Boohoo.com to have over 36,000 products in 2018. It is a PLC (Public limited company), and

per 2018 results. The company is also believed to have supplied other high street chains such
as Primark and New Look. Boohoo’s fashion clothing includes uniquely designed dresses and
tops, along with 27,000 different styles of clothing.

The company loves fashion, values creativity and have high expectations. Boohoo also has a
whole different and special shopping page for men, which is known as “boohooMAN”.
Looking at the company’s fast growing demand for its women clothing, the company decided
to have something for men as well. So, it continued with their boohoo.com business online,
