Independent Variable (IV) - -Before Exercise and After Exercise (24 hours)
-Dependent Variable (DV) - -Score (out of 70) on the Warwick-Edinburgh
Mental Wellbeing Scale
-Experimental Hypothesis - Directional - -Participants in the after exercise
condition will have a significantly higher wellbeing score on the Warwick-
Edinburgh scale than the participants in the before exercise condition.
-Null Hypothesis - -There will be no significant difference in wellbeing score
on the Warwick-Edinburgh scale in the before exercise condition and the
after exercise condition.
-Confounding Variables - -Variables in a study that are not being measured
or manipulated by the researcher, that affect some participants' behaviours
but not others, having others, having negative consequences for validity.
-Possible extraneous variables - -SV
