golflengte.

, - Absorptie van elektromagnetische straling door de atmosfeer van de aarde:
○ Zichtbaar licht (golflengtes tussen 10 cm en 10 m) wordt doorgelaten
○ Radiogolven (golflengtes tussen 10 cm en 10 m) wordt doorgelaten
○ Infraroodstraling wordt gedeeltelijk doorgelaten
○ Andere golflengtes worden geabsorbeerd.
- Stralingskromme/planck kromme:




-Als de temperatuur stijgt zie je dat de lijn/kromme naar links verschuift: bij
een hogere temperatuur wordt dus relatief meer straling met kleinere
golflengtes uitgezonden.

- Parallaxmethode:
- Voor de sterren die relatief dicht bij de aarde staan kun je de afstand bepalen
uit de parallax (= een hoek die je vanaf de aarde kunt meten) van deze over
een periode van 6 maanden.
- Hoe kleiner de parallax, des te groter is de afstand ® van de ster tot de aarde
