1. How does the company culture impact the decision-making process at this US Fishing Boat
Manufacturer?
The company culture at the US Fishing Boat Manufacturer is considered equal in which the
founders and employees are considered equal. This makes the decision making process a
joint effort in which employees and founders both work together to establish all decision
making process as a whole and not entirely from the founders.
2. How does the organizational structure impact the decision-making process at this US
Fishing Boat Manufacturer?
Organizational structure impacts the decision-making process since the company structure is
decentralized, all employees can access the founders at any time for anything relative to the
company. This would eliminate wasted time and instead of going through multiple
departments or wait for a response, the employees can go directly to their source and vise
versa and have a more positive and timely decision-making process.
3. How do the mission and vision statements (the strategic direction) impact the decision-
making process at this US Fishing Boat Manufacturer?
The mission and vision statement impacts the decision-making process by first: clarifying
and defining their mission. It also allows the employees to become more strategic and
innovate to provide the customer-driven design and growth in the industry. It allows them to
establish realistic goals and create solutions.
The vision statement is primarily the ideals from the founders which also impacts the
employees with incentive and rewards to create a better decision-making process.
