You will make use of the information and discussions from Section A in
crafting your Essay and developing your argument in Section B.
, This assignment is based on UNIT 1 of your textbook as well as the
discussions held in the Online Classes. You are encouraged to go through the
recordings and slides from Sessions 1-3 on the myModules site as well as
UNIT 1 (Textbook and myModules), as they are pivotal to the understanding of
what is required of you in this assignment.
Remember, that in this module we are interested in your voice and your
thoughts.
Discourse analysis allows us to delve into discussions and analyse trends,
language and social positions both in text and image. Focus on our
discussions on reality and discourse, AI and how it works, how we respond
and enter into a discourse with AI, how and why it shapes the way we engage
with the world in the digital age, and what we can do to mitigate the negative
effects.
Although we encourage the experimentation with AI in this module, we
advocate for the ethical use thereof. Therefore, if you use AI to assist you with
your assignment, you need to indicate in a footnote and intext, where you have
made use of AI and how you have used it. You are NOT allowed to get AI to
generate your essay for you, this is considered plagiarism and you will receive
a mark no higher that 5% and be subject to disciplinary action. The work needs
to be YOUR OWN!
