SWOT ANALYSIS
STRENGHTS
During the interview I was able to keep eye contact with the interviewer. This showed that I
was confident, and I knew what I’m talking about. Also, keeping eye contact means that I
was able to show the interviewer that I’m not lying. For more, I was able to answer all the
questions which means that I’m able to find a solution for anything even if I don’t know the
answer. This showed the interviewer that I was prepared for the interview and I want to get
the job. Another strength of the interview is that I maintained positive body language as my
back was straight and I kept the hand close to my body. Before the interview I made sure I
will come earlier, and this is good because I was able to provide a proof that I am a punctual
person.
WEAKNESSES
One of the weakness for my interview is that I couldn’t expand my answers. This will affect
the decision the interviewer will take at the end. One of the reason is because I didn’t have
enough time and the interviewer gave me the sensation that she wants to ask a different
question. Also, during the interview I was nervous as I didn’t know what questions the
interviewer will ask. As I was nervous it took me more time before I answered to the
questions because I wanted to make sure that I will offer the right answer. This may affect
the decision of the interviewer as she may think that I don’t react good on difficult times
and it takes me too long to get a decision. Another weakness is that I keep using the work
‘’try’’ or ‘’tried’’ in the interview and the interviewer is not sure if I can do that task or not.
OPPORTUNITIES
An opportunity was that it was only me and the interviewer in the same room. This is good
because I could’ve get more nervous if there were more people that had to listen to me.
Another one is the documents that I sent before the interview such as the application form,
CV and cover letter. These are the reasons why I’ve been called to come to the interview
and I just had to prove that what I wrote there is true. Another opportunity will be reading
business book to expand my vocabulary which will help me in my future interviews.
THREATS
Firstly, one of the threats are the other candidates. They could’ve been more prepared for
the interview as they have more experience to take interviews. Also, their documents
could’ve been better as they have better` qualification or more experience in this area.
Another threat is the location of the interview. It was far, and I need to make sure that I will
get there on time. This could’ve affected the decision of the interviewer as they don’t want
an employer that is late to work.
