The efficiency of these allied health care workers can produce a dramatic difference in the health of individuals in a society. When it comes to the United States, some of the best medical technologies and health care services are available in the country. The main reason behind the availability of human resources from all over the world has made their way to the US in order to provide their country with talent and degrees in health care fields. However, there are still ways in which this country can improve in the allied health sector to become more advanced and effective. The best of what can be done in this regard is managing the environment at the workplace and increasing capacity for the ones who desire to enter the field. However, due to the rapid growing population rate in the country and the trend of completing education through high school is not that common, the allied sector is the one in which individuals can get jobs into (Atherly, 2004). For example, if the government of the United States chooses to increase the number of laboratories, not only would it improve health care standards, but it would help to increase the job opportunities such as electricians and engineers within the laboratory to become more efficient. The Medical Improvement for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) of 2008 is legislation related to Medicare. One important provision of MIPPA was the allocation of federal funding to help low-income beneficiaries apply for an affordable Medicare. MIPPA grantees to educate and assist low-income seniors and persons with disabilities, so they can apply for two programs, including the Medicare Part D Extra Help/Low-Income Subsidy (LIS/Extra Help) and the Medicare Savings Program (MSPs) that help to pay for their Medicare costs.
