Sustainable Development Goals (United Nations)




Sustainability moet meegenomen worden aan het begin van elk ontwerpproject. Het is lastig
om achteraf nog producten en gedrag te verbeteren.

Boek H1 Sustainable Development Goals
De samenleving is op dit moment niet volledig duurzaam. Duurzaamheid is steeds
belangrijker en normaler geworden. Sustainable development wordt omschreven als
ontwikkeling die voldoet aan de behoeftes van nu zonder de behoeften van toekomstige
generaties in gevaar te brengen. Alles wat grondstoffen gebruikt die op kunnen raken of
meer afval produceert dan verwerkt kan worden is niet duurzaam, omdat we het niet voor
altijd kunnen doen.
Triple bottom line: organisaties moeten duurzaamheid meten over milieu,
sociaal en economische impact (People, Planet, Prosperity/Profit). Je kan
niet met een product de hele wereld repareren, we moeten zo veel
mogelijk duurzaam zijn.
De United Nations heeft 17 doelen voor duurzaamheid opgesteld. Deze
doelen geven een beeld van hoe wereldwijde duurzaamheid eruit ziet.
Het kan lastig zijn om de verschillende doelen toe te passen. Het kan
gedaan worden in 3 stappen: prioriteiten stellen (plus en min), doelen stellen (wat kan
verbeterd worden) en integreren (actie).
Er is een risico dat het nastreven van bepaalde doelen ten kosten gaat van andere doelen.
Daarnaast is de vraag of economische groei en technische innovatie per se nodig is.
