a. What is knowledge?
Information that we acquire and manage in our minds for a purpose of need, comfort, accessibility, among
others. There has not been a specific definition of the word as such,but experts on the subject can say that
it is the information that is stored through intuition, experience or reflection.

b. Name, define and exemplify the 5 types of knowledge.
Intuitive; sense it’s the main word. By experience based on feelings rather than facts or proof.Most
people have an intuitive sense of right and wrong.

Empirical; based by observation or experience, higher degree of generality than intuitive knowledge and
rather than a theory.

Magic Religious; based on beliefs, though, especially on a God or Mystic divine, from books, among
others.

Philosophical; generated from a reflection and it offers explanations using reason and rational arguments.

Scientist; physical proofs are the most important, through authentication or experiment.

c. What is science?
“the set of systematized knowledge that is made on any field of nature, society and human
thought which is held by rational or verifiable justification (Cielo, Castro & Zaragoza, 2012).”
The main purpose of science is to increase human knowledge.

d. How many and what types of sciences are there?
2, formal & empirical.

e. What is being studied?
Its object of study and procedures are used differently. The object of study refers to the field of reality that
is being investigated and method refers to steps carried out for the study.
