D355 Total Rewards: Task 2
A.As a new HR Manager at The Bravo Center, here is the list of benefits (legally and discretionary) that I am recommending:
Legally Required:
➢Social Security
➢Workers’ Compensation
➢Family & Medical Leave
➢Insurance (Affordable Care Act) Discretionary:
➢Paid time off:
○4 weeks of PTO per year with an additional 1 week after 3 years and an additional 2 weeks after 5 years
○11 flexible holidays per year
○Paid parental leave
The benefits package consists of four legally required benefits: social security, workers’
compensation, family & medical leave, and insurance. Firms need to be compliant with the law, but these programs also help to achieve the organization’s goals of attracting and retaining
employees. By having these programs compliant, employees and their families will be protected and covered.

With this PTO program, all new employees will receive four weeks of flexible time off (sick time, personal leave, and vacation time), 11 paid days they can use to celebrate holidays, and paid parental leave for people expecting a new family member. Having time off that is flexible works well with a
company like The Bravo Center which specializes in events. For example, if a full-time hourly employee who works in Food Concessions consistently works weekends and Mondays, they
