BUSINESS EVENT

P1 P2

,ROLE OF EVENT ORGANISER
It is important for any business to have a successful event organiser to ensur
the events of the business are successful and help to ensure the targeted
audience is engaged and the message of the event is marketed properly. In s
cases, unsuccessful business event can not help the business to be successfu
and may damage the business’s reputation. The role of event organiser will
involve planning, organising and overseeing the event to make sure the eve
runs properly and smoothly.
There are different types of events and people and therefore the role of even
organiser will change depending on these elements.
The type of event:
• In-house for staff – An event within the company for staff.
• Organisation conference – An event between a business and other
businesses.
• Public event – An event that general public are invited to.

,THE ASPECT OF THE ROLE OF EVENT
ORGANISER
Organising
• It is important for any event organiser when organising an event is to fin
the right venue for the event. The venue is the place where the event is
going to take place. The location/venue of the event will help the peopl

could influence if people are interested in attending the event or not. F
example, an event can take place outside or inside and whether it is a
restaurant or a just a small business meeting. Therefore, a successful ev
organiser will need to look for a venue within a reasonable distance from
most attendees home or place of work and also will help to identify the
costs that will be involved.

Therefore, the type of catering could influence the event organiser you
choosing the right and suitable place to hold an event. The requirements
and costs of event will increase depending on the type of catering and th
venue, for example a three lunch course which is usually prepared in a

and money with less strict event requirements.

Abdulalah Al-Jobore

, Setting up the programme
The programme of the event is a list of what is going on at the event and
order in which the different activities are happening. It will help the
organisation of the event to understanding what types of activities will
happened during the event, and will also be used by attendees as it will g
them. Therefore having a good quality programme and its content will he
guide people’s interest as well as provide them with the outline of what i
going to happen during the event. The event programme will also provid
the attendees and the organisation with details of any special guests,
speeches, entrainment or any special activities such prize-giving which c
be part of the event. For example, having famous guest speaker such as
David Beckham will help to encourage and attract people to attend the e
