Okay concerning the reading tips. I will try to write as many tips as
i can and all of these tips are from our amazing
teacher,Mrs.nermeen.

1- always solve passages based on your preferences.
If you are good at science passages but struggle at history ones, then
start with the easy. You want to guarantee getting a good score on
the easy ones while the hard ones are already hard for you so the
percentage of you getting a good score is not very high.
2. Find the most suitable reading strategy for you.
Personally, i find that the best strategy is to go for the scientific and
social ones and read the blurb, first paragraph,1st line of each
paragraph, and conclusion) then read the literature and history(the
whole passage). Some people can read the blurb and the first
paragraph then go for any line reference questions and so on...this
can work too. The thing is that look for the most time-saving and
suitable way.
3. Process of elimination
You may face some questions where you can’t chose the correct
answer. Instead of looking for the correct answer, look for the wrong
ones. Eliminate any specific choice( only if it’s a general
question),irrelevant one, and different tone.one wrong word in the
choice can make the whole choice wrong

, 4. Identify the question’s main focus.
You have to know exactly what the question is asking you about.
Take care of key words...spend more time in identifying the main
focus of the question.

5. Evidence based questions.
If you were stuck in such questions all you have to do is match. For
example, your are stuck between two line reference choices...take a
look at the question (not the evidence one) and try to match. If you
were stuck in the question itself, not the line reference, then also try
to match.
6. Big questions.
Big questions are like main idea, central claim etc..... the answer for
such questions is usually stated in the first paragraph and the blurb.
7. Specific and main questions with line reference .
In such questions you have to read a couple lines before and after.
Let nouns, proper nouns, strong adjectives, and the synonyms of
some words found in the lines referred to lead you to the right
answer choice
8. Specific and general questions with no line reference.
Identify words that form the main focus of the question. Skim and
scan the passage from these words.
9. General tips
-In argumentative passages, focus on the conclusion(as the author
mentions his/her perspective clearly. Always make sure to identify
the tone of the passage
