ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES
General instructions
1. Refer to Tutorial Letter 301/4/2023 CMALLE for guidelines on how to structure your
assessment. You can access this tutorial letter and the template for the assessment under
Additional Resources on the module site at
https://mymodules.dtls.unisa.ac.za/mod/assign/view.php?id=842630
2. This assessment is based on learning units 1, 2, 3 and 4. You are expected to apply your
knowledge and give relevant examples where required.
3. Submit your assessment via the Assessment 4 (Portfolio Examination) folder.
Examination rules
1. Upload your answer script as a single file in PDF on the official myExams platform. Do not password
protect your file or upload it as a read-only file. The university marks only one submission from each
student.
2. Answer scripts submitted via e-mail will not be marked.
3. Preview your submission to make sure that you have uploaded the correct file, and that it is legible.
4. If you have submitted the wrong file or if your submission was unsuccessful you are allowed to
resubmit your answer script, but only within the stipulated time allowed for submission. You are not
allowed to resubmit after the time allowed for submission.
5. Uncollated answer scripts and scripts in the incorrect file format will not be marked.
6. If you upload the wrong file, that is, any file other than your exam answer script (e.g. if you upload
the question paper instead of your answer script) as your final submission, this file will not be marked
and no opportunity will be granted for resubmission.
7. Unisa relies on an automated synchronisation system that selects scripts to be marked in
accordance with its prioritisation rules.
8. Unisa awards 0% for incorrect submissions made on the official platform, irrespective of any correct
submissions made on alternative platforms.
9. A mark awarded for an incomplete submission will be the student’s final mark. No opportunity for
resubmission will be granted.
10. A mark awarded for an illegible scanned submission will be the student’s final mark. No opportunity
for resubmission will be granted.
11. Only the last answer file uploaded within the stipulated submission period will be marked.
12. Submissions will be accepted from registered student accounts only.
