Baylor Scott & White Health Corporation is one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in Texas, established in 2013 after merging Baylor Healthcare systems and Scott & White Healthcare systems. The Healthcare system has 52 hospitals and more than 800 patient care sites. The corporation has over 7300 active physicians and more than 49,000 employees (NIH, 2019). The healthcare corporation is known for its community involvement by provision of healthcare extending beyond the wall of its hospitals and clinics. Being a Christian-based organization, the corporation has existed to be a Christian ministry of healing and serving all people with exemplary healthcare, education, research, and community services especially providing care for the people without health coverage or other means of paying (Baylor Scott & White Health, 2022). As a non-profit healthcare organization, the corporation uses its revenue over the expenses to improve the community's healthcare.
