The first section is the 45-minute English test - CORRECT ANSWER and it covers usage/mechanics, sentence structure, and rhetorical skills. The second section is a 60-minute math test - CORRECT ANSWER made up of 60 multiple-choice questions. The reading test is 40 multiple-choice questions - CORRECT ANSWER and 35 minutes long. The science test is a 35-minute, 40-question test. - CORRECT ANSWER There are seven passages each followed by five to seven questions. The writing section, which is always administered - CORRECT ANSWER at the end of the testing session, is 40 minutes. For the writing test, students must analyze three different perspectives given - CORRECT ANSWER and show how their opinion relates to these perspectives. The ACT is offered seven times a year in the United States - CORRECT ANSWER and its territories, the U.S. Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, as well as Canada.
