1. De arbeidsmarkt?
De arbeidsMARKT
• Markt = vraag & aanbod
o Klant: wilt iets kopen
o Marktkramer: verkoopt iets
o Doel: prijs bepalen
• De arbeidsmarkt is dus een functie van vraag en
aanbod
o 2 partijen
▪ Vrager: prijs zo laag mogelijk
▪ Aanbod: prijs zo hoog mogelijk
o Moeten elkaar tegemoet komen =
prijssetting/prijsbepaling
• Verschuivingen
o Vraag/aanbod verandert
▪ Wordt hoger/lager
o Heeft invloed op prijsbepaling

De ARBEIDSmarkt
• = geheel van
o Vraag naar arbeid: werkgever / werkgelegenheid -> lonen lager houden
o Aanbod van arbeid: werkzoeker / beroepsbevolking -> lonen zo hoog mogelijk willen
• Spel om juiste prijs te krijgen, loon te betalen en te ontvangen (= compromis is uiteindelijke
loon dat uitbetaald wordt)
• Ruime <-> krappe arbeidsmarkt
o Ruime arbeidsmarkt: meer aanbod dan vraag
▪ Meer mensen zoeken een job dan dat er vacatures zijn
▪ Werkgever is machtigste partij
o Krappe arbeidsmarkt: meer vraag dan aanbod
▪ Veel vacatures, maar minder mensen die op zoek zijn naar werk
▪ Macht ligt bij de werknemer -> lonen stijgen
• Nu: krappe arbeidsmarkt (= the war for talent)
o Werkgevers concurreren met elkaar
o Redenen
▪ Vergrijzing
• Baby boomers bereiken pensioenleeftijd → hoge vervangingsgraad +
vraag naar meer zorgverleners
▪ Ontgroening
• Niet veel mensen beschikbaar om plekken van baby boomers te
vervangen
• Nieuwe generaties komen steeds later op de arbeidsmarkt terecht
(langer studeren)
