This database uses process, structure, and outcome indicators to evaluate nursing care and provide quality care. What are Nursing-Sensitive Quality Indicators? Nursing-Sensitive Quality Indicators (NSQI) is a collection of data that measure nursing outcomes on a patient’s health. According to Afaneh, Abu-Moghli, and Ahmad (2021), NSQI lays a foundation for monitoring nursing care quality. The Nursing-Sensitive Quality Indicators exist in three categories, which are structure, process, and outcome. Examples of structural indicators are nurse turnover, nurse staff, their skills, and education/certification while process indicators examples include measurement of patient assessment and nurse job satisfaction.
