Wake County Regulations 4 Governing Swimming Pools These regulations comply with - Answer -15A NCAC 18A .2500 director - Answer -Wake County Department of Human Services Director or his/her authorized representative operator - Answer -certified pool operator (CPO) who is responsible for the daily operation of a public swimming pool owner - Answer -owner of the swimming pool, or the responsible management company pool area - Answer -the interior of the fenced area around a swimming pool including the swimming pool itself and also the interior of all toilets, bathhouses, equipment enclosure, and the chemical enclosures associated with the swimming pool residential swimming pool - Answer -any swimming pool located on private property, the use of which is limited to swimming or bathing by members of his/her family or invited guests. Doesn't include facilities located inside a residence , storable pols designed for seasonal setup/use, or spas installed on decks or porches with a fitted hard cover swimming pool - Answer -any structure, basin, chamber or tank containing an artificial body of water which may be used for swimming, diving, wading, instructional purposes, or therapeutic bathing. Includes public swimming pools (15A NCAC 18A .2508(2)), water slides, wave pools, and their auxiliary structures including buildings, appurtenances & equipment used by the public & operated by anyone wake county swimming pool operations permit - Answer -Wake County permit required for the operation of a swimming pool in Wake County year round pool - Answer -any pool that is indoor or heated how long is the pool operator permit valid - Answer -five (5) years from date of issuance records onsite must include - Answer -daily readings of the measurement of disinfectant residuals and pH levels taken at least two (2) times during daylight hours each day or operation; time, date & collector's initials must be clearly legible when recorded; two (20 daily readings & recordings of the disinfectant residuals and pH levels shall be taken a minimum of six (6) hours apart; the operator shall read & record at least one measurement of the disinfectant & pH level daily records onsite must include (pt 2) - Answer -a checklist of maintenan
