Question 1: What do you believe to be the qualities of a good teacher? To be a good teacher means to have a combination of qualities that complete each other and help to create a proactive teacher and a rewarding teaching experience. First of all, to be a teacher means to be a giver. It means being generous because teaching requires a lot of time and effort and resources. In addition to being generous a teacher should be fully committed, involved and dedicated to her job, duties, and responsibilities and most importantly to the learners. Accepting the responsibilities and achieving the goals and the expectations is very essential for success. Moreover, being a good teacher requires being passionate and excited and interested in the profession and the field of education so that the teacher feels happy and satisfied about the tasks and to be able to enjoy the experience. Furthermore, I believe that a good teacher should be creative and open to new ideas and able to think outside of the box because this will enrich the learning experience and make it more fruitful and more rewarding. Similarly, being cooperative with the team and being organized are two main qualities of a good teacher because they can help the teacher to improve and work more effectively and it will maximize the learning experience. Further, a good teacher should be knowledgeable and well educated about the subject she/he is teaching. A good teacher should be updated with the recent information and knowledge about the subject area of her/his expertise.
