Traffic Control Signals - ANSWER-red,yellow or green lights that control the flow of traffic at intersections or where roads merge. The color determines which stream of traffic has the right of way.

Green Arrow with Green Light - ANSWER-driver may enter the intersection and proceed
without yielding in the direction indicated by the arrow. Drivers facing the green light may proceed in the other direction when it is safe and legal.
Yield - ANSWER-Indicates a merging driver needs to stop if necessary to let another driver proceed. A driver that stops or slows has yielded the right of way to that vehicle.

Green Arrow with Red Light - ANSWER-drivers may proceed without stopping only in the direction of the arrow
Flashing Red Light - ANSWER-drivers must stop before the stop line or crosswalk. If there is no crosswalk or stop line drivers stop before the intersection. The flashing red light is treated like a stop sign.
Flashing Yellow Light - ANSWER-driver may proceed with caution after yielding the right of way to pedestrians and other vehicles within the intersection. Flashing Green Light - ANSWER-Drivers are permitted to go through, left turn or right turn without stopping. The opposing traffic will be facing a red light however, a driver must still yield for pedestrians and other vehicles lawfully in the intersection
Pedestrian Crossing Sign with Yellow lights - ANSWER-when the lights are flashing the driver must reduce the speed to 30 km/hr and yield or stop for pedestrians. This sign indicates that caution is required because of school zones or areas, playgrounds, school crossings and pedestrian crossings.
Lane Reversal Signs - ANSWER-used to control the direction of traffic specific lanes on a roadway.
ex; Reversible lanes that change the flow of traffic during different times of the day. The signal over one or more lane changes between a red X and green arrow.
Solid Red X - ANSWER-The driver does not enter or remain in that lane. Indicates the lane is being used for ongoing traffic, move safely into a lane with a green arrow.
Downward Pointing Green Arrow - ANSWER-driver facing a downward pointing green arrow is permitted to travel in that lane
Red Circle with Slash - ANSWER-Action or activity within the circle is not permitted
Green Circle - ANSWER-Action or activity within circle is permitted
Regulatory Message - ANSWER-Regulatory message on a white background such as speed limit
Fluorescent Yellow Green Background - ANSWER-Indicates school zone/area or school
