The League of Nations established after WW1 was certainly one of the pioneers in this. Since then, global organizations such as the World Trade Organization (WTO), United Nations (UN), and more regional organizations such as the EU have helped to increase the degree of political globalization. Cultural identity the identity or feeling of belonging to a group. It is part of a person's self- conception and self-perception and is related to nationality, ethnicity, religion, social class, generation, locality or any kind of social group that has its own distinct culture. Individual Identity Indiviudal identity is about defining which particular individual, out of the billions of people roaming the globe today and in the past, one is concerned with Collective identity The shared identity of a group of people, especially because of a common language and culture Transnational Corporation A company that conducts research, operates factories, and sells products in many countries, not just where its headquarters or shareholders are located. Outsourcing obtain (goods or a service) from an outside or foreign supplier, especially in place of an internal source. Ex: made in china, bangladesh Hybridization The process by which a cultural element such a food, language, or music blend into another culture by modifying the element to fit cultural norms. Diversification the action of diversifying something or the fact of becoming more diverse. Society A community of people who share a common culture Global Village express the constituting relationship between economics and other social sciences throughout the world. Pluralistic Society is a diverse one, where the people in it believe all kinds of different things and tolerate each other's beliefs even when they don't match their own. Pop Culture modern popular culture transmitted via mass media and aimed particularly at younger people. Ex: celebrities, clothes Cultural imperialism the imposition by one usually politically or economically dominant community of various aspects of its own culture onto another, non dominant community.
