HRM ( sinds 1950) is ontstaan onder invloed van:
 Taylorisme

o Het splitsen van doen en denken

o Tijdsnormen
o Mens gezien als productemiddel

 Gedragswetenschappen
 Vakbond, werkgevers- en vakverenigingen

Tot 1960: personeelsbeheer
- Economische opbouw
- Efciënte inzet personeel
- Geen specialismen

Tot 1980: sociaal beleid
- Vermaatschappelijking
- Welzijn is belangrijk
- Specialisering/professionalisering/beloningen
- Verwijdering van het management

Er komt meer aandacht voor het personeel. Kwaliteit van arbeid en specialisering komen aan de
orde. Begin 1970 werd Nederland een verzorgingsstaat. Democrate en ontplooiing zijn de
hoofdthema’s.

Tot 1990: personeelsmanagement
- Verzakelijking
- Organisate en management centraal
- Doel- en resultaatgericht werken
- Afslanking en ‘terug naar de lijn’
- Minder p-specialisten

Na sociaal beleid ontstond er een teruggang, met name door middel van de economische crisis. Er
moest zoveel mogelijk doel- en resultaatgericht gewerkt worden. De personeelsafdelingen werden
afgeslankt ‘terug naar de lijn’.
