Lewis Fanson assignment 3.1 Paul Williamson

What is a citizen?
A citizen is someone whho iiees in a
1. Sociai and morai responsibiiity
Social responsibility is the core of being a responsible citien as this means you are actiely
communicatng and working with the community around you while socialising this means…
To be a responsible citien. not just responsible for your-self but being responsible for others
too. To be a socially responsible we should help our communites and those who liie in
them, help them when they are in need and help (homeless, people with disability or people
with other problems). Being socially actie means you socialiie with your neighbours around
you, and with this you can create new friends, new trust and a new relatonship with another
person and I think this is the key of being social citien.

Volunteering, is one of many ways you could help the community around you, you can learn
many new skills while helping and giiing your tme. But in the interests of being a
responsible citien, this could include smaller things too. So, iolunteering for the local
homeless shelter is a noble job to do and
one which is certainly needed. This
demonstrates that you care for the
people in need and it shows you. This
could be shown as a moral responsibility,
this is because being a responsible citien is
about being a less selfsh person, and
putting the needs of society before your
own needs. It doesn’t always mean you
haie to giie up your 24 hours a day to
iolunteer or help others, but it does
mean hand in a bit of your free tme and do
the best you can to impact the
community.

Being socially and morally responsible can bring a person moral up and others around him,
also being responsible for b
2. Community
This is like social responsibility but with a smaller circle instead you should focus on haiing
an actie interest in your local community - this means you should be concerned and be
responsible of what’s happening around your neighbourhood.
