Tell me about yourself / walk me through your resume - ️️I grew up in Evansville Indiana, a very working class town. I spent a lot of time sailing, wakeboarding, and other water sports. Went to Indiana because several family members went there. I was drawn in by the diverse experience a big school provides. Went in knowing I had an interest in finance, but wanted to branch out and meet older students heading into a variety of fields. The kids heading into banking were very impressive and I could see the greatest cultural fit and commonality of interest with them. I interned at a commercial lending bank after my freshman year, but after several conversations with the CFO I realized I was more interested in working with large companies and their decision making From there I started doing some valuation and research projects throughout the year for a family office in my hometown. Shortly thereafter I was lucky enough to get a year-round remote internship with a private equity firm in Chicago. My experiences made me that I want to work alongside bright people and on the strategic decision making of large companies and investment firms, and a bit of a junky for the drama involved in closing transactions. Investment banking was clearly the logical path forward, and I am particularly interested in your bank because __________, so thank you very much for the opportunity to meet with you today. I am very happy to be here and excited to get to know you better and learn more about your firm. Why investment banking? - ️️Rapid learning opportunities Intelligent people
