, Aeronautical information services
AIRAC = Aeronautical information regulation and control -> Acronym and in advance or significant
Integrated Aeronautical information package: AIP – Notam + circulars
AFTN = aeronautical fixed telecommunication network
PIB = Pre-flight information bulletin
AIC = aeronautical information circular
-White = administrative -> wit papier
-Yellow = ATC ->
-Pink = Safety -> rood bloed
-Mauve = danger ->
-Green = maps/charts -> groen bos op kaart
ASHTAM
-Green = Normal, non-eruptive state
-Yellow = Sign of elevated unrest or decrease alert level but monitored
-Orange = Increase likelihood of eruption or eruption underway with minor emission
-Red = Eruption is forecast with significant emission of ash.
Where to find what?
-GEN: Services, Sigmet, S&R, location indicators, fees, local regulation, meteo services.
-ENR: Comms failure, RWY signals, R/P/D, hold/app/dept procedures
-AD: Meteo info, RWY lighting, fuel
AIP = main publication with GEN?, ENR and AD
AIP supplement = temporary, but longer than 3 months or short changes with lots of tekst.
AIP amendment = Permanent changes
NOTAM and PIB = temporary canges less than 3 months. Revised every month
AIC = Information about Legislative stuff
AIRAC = Changes in advance. Published 42 days in advance, need to reach pilots 28 days in advance.
Aerodromes
CAT 1 precision approach lighting
-900 m from threshold
-crossbar at 300 m from threhold (lengt = 30 m) (om de 150 m)
-30 m intervals. Intermost = 30 m from threshold
-5 crossbars, centre line with 3, 2 and 1 lamp per light unit
-Total = 3 lighting systems each 300 m
CAT 2 precision approach lighting
-900 m from the threshold
-2 side rows of red lights extend to 270 m (alligned with touchdown zone lights)
-2 crossbars, 150 m and 300 m from threshold
-30 m intervals, intermost = 30 m from threshold

, ACN = Aircraft classification number
PCN = Pavement classification number (5 sections)
MEHT = Minimum eye height (15 m, +1 m or -3 m)
Lighting system:
-Emergency vehicles = fixed red + flashing blue (marked yellow and red)
-Service vehicles = fixed Yellow + flashing yellow
-Low intensity = fixed red
-High intensity = flashing white
