K-Strategy:
- Few offspring.
- There is good parental care.
- There is an increased chance of survival.
- Internal fertilization (is dominant)
- Viviparous
= Develops the baby internally
- Oviparous
= It lays an egg
- Ovoviviparous
= It keeps the eggs internally
R-Strategy:
- Lots of offspring.
- There is no/poor parental care.
- There is a decreased chance of survival.
- External fertilization (is dominant)
- Some use internal fertilization.
- Oviparous
= Laying eggs. (these are not fertilized eggs yet)
● There is a problem with both of these…
- Is that the mates need to find each other.
- This is done using Courtship Rituals.
