Design and Analysis of an Antenna MIMO for 5G Applications (simulate by : CST STUDIO SUITE 2019)

The MIMO antenna depicted in Figure 28 is constructed by joining two monopole antenna elements, which are placed side by side, at a distance D from each other, with a separate ground plane. As the ground plane is very compact, surface current and near-field radiation cause strong mutual coupling between the two antenna elements, resulting in signal interference that limits the effectiveness of the MIMO system. In order to improve the insulation while maintaining a compact size, we used an approach which consists of implementing a decoupling structure called neutralization line whose dimensions (W_N,L_N1,L_N2,R_N), and which is located at the level of the same plane as that of the radiating elements in order to reduce the mutual coupling between the elements of the antenna.
