Grave’s disease and thyroid storm- report temp increase of 1 degree 23. HIT- on heparin one week 24. Blood can be hung max of 4hours 25. Smallest needle for blood is 20 gauge 26. Dumping syndrome- increased protein and lay down after meals 27. Lithium toxicity- priority does not need to limit sodium 28. Fidelity- keep commitments 29. IM injections- 5mL is too much for gluteal 30. CSF- check for halo, notify HCP 31. GCS- measures eye, verbal, and motor responses (15= the best outcome; 3= worst outcome) 32. Crying baby with cleft palate- swaddle, hold close and rock 33. Fever of unknown origin- does not need private room 34. Secondary prevention- breast exam 35. Below the knee amputation (BKA)- hypovolemic shock 36. Thoracentesis with elevated HR (90-110) – hypovolemic shock 37. Command hallucinations- needs more supervision (worst hallucination) 38. Priority patient with k+ of 2.4 39. Negative titer to measles and pregnant – gets MMR after delivery (only give immunization that aren’t live; no nasal influenza) 40. 45% burns follow up- v/o 145ml/8hr (4ml x % x kg) 41. Hearing aid follow up- using alcohol swabs to clean 42. Sexual harassment is not lateral violence in the workplace 43. Cipro- spontaneous tendon rupture 44. Mag Sulfate- s/e resp rate of 10 45. Med error- check patient for allergic rxn 46. Beclomethasone- rinse mouth- asthma steroid med 47. Patient with depression- sign safety contract 48. Disseminated Zoster- Airborne precautions 49. Cirrhosis- decreased sodium 50. Warfarin-INR of 2 51. Insulin teaching- abdomen absorbs faster 52. AKI- metabolic alkalosis 53. Abnormal vital signs- child with HR 160 and walking in hallway 54. Addisonian crisis- glucose of 60 55. Myasthenia gravis priority- difficulty swallowing and muscle weakness 56. Oxytocin- stop w/contractions over 2.5 57. Interdisciplinary patient- cystic fibrosis 58. Psych with manic bipolar- take for a walk 59. Novice nurse- patient with asthma and d/c 60. Take off PPE- gloves 61. Math- decrease 15ml 72. 3-year-old speaks 3-4 word sentences 73. Stoma pink and dry- call the HCP 74. SCIP- no disposable razors (use electric razor& start ABX one hr before surgery) 75. PICC line or triple lumen- flush with 10ml NS 76. Further teaching for fiscally responsibility- letting family help (not a part of fiscally responsibility) 77. Lateral violence means bulling where other person gets offended 78. Spontaneous birth- clear nasopharynx 79. PACU following regional anesthesia- take vitals 80. LPN- no central lines 81. Late deceleration (POOF; LION) 82. Kawasaki- give immunoglobulins 83. Avoid decongestants with BPH 84. OT- fine motor skills/ PT- mobility
