This assignment relates partly to the value-add debate regarding HCM. How would you
justify the existence of an HCM section in your organisation?
To help you justify the strategic value of an HCM section, conceptualise a framework for
the measurement and implementation of organisational human capital management
effectiveness in your organisation. Consider the following:
1. How would you measure the effectiveness and success of the respective human
capital value chain components in your organisation? (40 marks)
2. Propose a practical change management and culture change plan that you would
use to introduce and embed the use of analytics and metrics to assess the SHCM
value add in your organisation. (40 marks)
3. Discuss the strategic value of your proposed measurement framework. (20 marks)
Total = 100 marks
Your assignment should not exceed 20 pages, 12 font, 1,5 spacing (excluding the references
and appendices).
