3.1 Inleiding




  Metabole activiteit is georganiseerd in pathways





Katabole pathways:
o Levert energie
o Breken complexe moleculen af tot eenvoudige
o Vb: ademhaling/respiratie: suiker glucose afgebroken tot water en
koolstofoxide
 Anabole pathways:
o Gebruiken/consumeren/vragen energie
o Zorgen voor opbouw complexe moleculen
o Vb: eiwitsynthese
 Katabolisme en anabolisme houden elkaar in stand:
o Overdracht van energie van katabolisme naar anabolisme gebeurt via
ATP (adenosine triphosphate) = enrgierijke verbinding
o Transfer van energierijke elektronen gebeurt via electronencarriërs (vb:
NADH)



3.2 Energietransfer via ATP

,  ATP = belangrijk voor energiestroom
binnen een cel om te overleven/arbeid
te verrischten = batterij van de cel
 Afsplitsing fosfaatgroep → ADP
 AMP + energie
 Nodig om endotherme reacties te
doen doorgaan:




 Drie types arbeid:
o Mechanische arbeid:
 Bewegen van ciliën, samentrekken bij spiercelen, bewegen van
chromosomen tijdens reproductie
o Transport:
 Pompen van stoffen over membranen
o Chemische arbeid:
 Aan gang houden van reacties die niet spontaan verlopen
(=endergone reacties)
 Vb: synthese polymeren
 ATP bestaat uit: adenine, ribose en drie fosfaatgroepen
 Symbolisch: adenosine- P ̴ P ̴ P (P= anorganische fosfaatgroep)
 Wanneer bij hydrolise van ATP enkel de terminale fosfaatgroep (Pi) vrijkomt
ontstaat ADP
 Afsplitsing van pyrofosfaatgroep (PPi) levert AMP
 Hierbij komt er veel energie vrijvoorraad ATP wordt aangevuld door toevoegen
fosfaat aan ADP → energie die hiervoor nodig is wordt onttrokken aan katabole
pathways
 ATP moet voortdurend op peilgehouden worden

3.3 Electronentransfer via NAD+ en NADP+

 Elektronencarrier die betrokken is bij oxidatie/katabolisme = NAD + =
nicotinamide-adeninedinucleotide
 NAD+ kan dus continue gereduceerd of geoxideerd worden waarbij 2
energierijke elektronen transfeert
