Introduction
In this report I will explain the appropriateness of the plan for the launch of a website
for a specific organisation.
Research
I have chosen to start up my business Perfect Purse because handbag sales have
risen by 10.5% in 2013 to £1.16 billion.With that 51% of women have bought at least
one handbag in the last 12 months.As well as that the British economy turned in a
steady performance in 2016, growing at the second fastest rate among the G7
economies.
By carrying out market research, I was also able to see what my competitors are
offering to their customers, and use this information in order to improve my services
and also carry out surveys on my website in order to find out what the audience
would like to have on the website or what information they would like access to. This
will then help the website fulfil its needs to give the audience what they are
requesting.
Maintenance and Updates
Regular maintenance is a key to a launch of a website because any website can
experience bugs or wrong coding which can cost money for the business. Having the
website regular maintenance can also mean that my website will constantly be
updated with new content. By not updating my website it could lead me to damage
my business reputation but also lose customers because when customers return to
the same website after a period of time they expect it to be slightly different that the
last time and this can be in many ways such as new content or products or goods or
even changing the design of the website.
However my website does not need to be updated every hour or day, instead it will
require updating and maintenance every so often when my business gains pr,
acquires new information or goods. But I will set a date to maintain my website every
month as the website can develop hiccups between periods of time.
I will also backup my data of my website by having duplicate copies of the most
important information saved e.g customer information in a remote safe location to
keep it safe as possible if anything bad were to occur with my computer and its
system.For example a computer crash,virus infection, hard drive faile and a hacker
are all inevitable and can have a huge effect on my webiste Perfect Purse,THis is the
reason why I am backing up my data to secure files as files that are stored online are
safe from damage to my computer and if something goes wrong with my computer I
will still have access to the files.
