Human Resources are a big part of a company especially in a business like McDonalds. Human
Resources look after the people in a business and in a company like McDonalds the business is based
around their employees. Human Resources can improve the performance of a company a lot. For
example, in McDonalds, the HR department will make sure that the employees are being treated
correctly and that they are working in clean environments. If the HR department looks after their
employees then the efficiency of the employees will increase. For example, if the HR department
make sure that all of the equipment is being cleaned regularly then the employees cooking the food
will want to do their job better. It will increase the quality of the burgers as well as the service. The
HR also makes sure that the employees are getting the pay that they deserve and they make sure
that the employees actually get their pay. The HR department make sure that their employees are
happy doing their job, and if the employees are happy doing their job then the restaurant can run
more efficiently. If the employees work more efficiently then the restaurant will be making more
profit, which would result in the business being able to expand quicker or they would be able to
improve their restaurants with the extra profit being made. The HR department look after all of the
people working for McDonalds so they have a big part within the organisation but so do the people
that work at McDonalds which is why they need to be looked after. The employees of McDonalds
have the power to increase the performance of the restaurant or slow it down which is why the HR
department looks after their employees so much.

McDonalds
Physical Resources are things such as restaurants, tables, chairs and the materials used to cook. The
management of these physical resources can bring more customers but it can also save money in the
long term. For example, the chairs that McDonalds have are comfortable and appealing but at the
same time they are also easy to clean which saves McDonalds money. McDonalds would not need to
change their chairs as much because they would stay clean and they are durable. Some more
important physical resources are the grills and deep fryers. These are two of the most important
physical resources at McDonalds excluding the actual building. The grills and fryers need to be
checked and maintained a lot to ensure that nothing goes wrong. All of the burgers are made on the
grills so if they malfunction then McDonalds would not be able to make much money. The fryers for
the chips also need to be maintained as much as the grills as the chips come with the meals. The
fryers and grills are being used all day so they need to be serviced and checked often. The most
important physical resource is the building. The building will usually determine whether a person
goes to McDonalds or another restaurant. McDonalds make their restaurants look nice so that it
attracts customers to eat at their restaurant. The buildings need to be maintained in order to keep
up its standards. The restaurant is made up of physical and technological resources and without
them the building would be useless so everything within the restaurant needs to be managed and
maintained regularly to improve performance or keep it at a steady rate.
