For this lesson, I've chosen to prioritize two vital IELTS skills: Speaking and Listening. These abilities hold immense significance for effective communication in
both academic and real-life scenarios. Considering the class's identified weaknesses in these aspects, addressing them becomes paramount. By doing so, students
can overcome challenges and elevate their overall language proficiency. It is important to prioritize weaker areas to achieve a balanced performance across all four
skills, as the IELTS final grade is weighted on a combination of all four of the different skills’ band grades. For Speaking, the focus will be on Part 2 of the IELTS
exam. This segment revolves around a given topic where students express extended responses coherently and fluently. Students will learn to organize their thoughts
within the allotted time and deliver engaging speeches. Moreover, the practice will involve honing pronunciation, intonation, and vocabulary use. In the Listening
aspect, we will focus on section 4- a lecture on an environmental topic that resembles the format of the Listening section in the IELTS exam, emphasis will be on
enhancing comprehension skills. Students will encounter diverse accents and familiar topic to simulate real-world scenarios. By targeting these specific areas and
tailoring the lesson to address the class's needs, we aim to bolster their confidence and competence in both Speaking and Listening, fostering a well-rounded
foundation for the IELTS exam and beyond.
