1. The strategy formulation analytical Framework




Stage 1: Input stage
- Vat de basis input informatie samen om de strategie te formuleren.
- Technieken: EFE, IFE en CPM

Stage 2: Matching stage
- Focus op de generatie van toepasbare alternatieve strategieën door de belangrijkste externe
en interne factoren samen te leggen.
- Technieken: SWOT Matrix, SPACE Matrix, BCG Matrix, IE Matrix, Grand Strategy Matrix

Voorbeeld: Matchen van de belangrijkste externe en interne factoren voor een strategie




Door permutaties te maken van de interne en externe factoren ontstaan er veel mogelijke
combinaties, waaruit strategieën ontstaan. Er bestaan 16 strategieën waaruit je moet kiezen. Achteraf
kan je deze strategie expliciet maken.

SWOT en TOWS

De SWOT-analyse helpt managers om vier soorten strategieën te ontwikkelen, TOWS. Er wordt een
sterkte met een opportuniteit gecombineerd en een zwakte met een opportuniteit, enz.

- SO-strategie:
Een bedrijf gaat gebruik maken van de interne krachten om een voordeel te halen uit de
externe opportuniteiten.
