, 1. INTRODUCTION
Police information provides a way to power statistical models and machine learning
algorithms to identify tendencies and patterns in crime data. This enables agencies to
develop more effective strategies for crime prevention and investigation.
There are several advantages of information in law enforcement and that needs to be
safeguard. One of the most significant is its ability to identify crime patterns and
hotspots. By analysing data from various sources, law enforcement agencies can
identify areas with a high incidence of crime and deploy resources accordingly. This can
help reduce response times, improve officer safety, and enhance public safety.
2. DEFINITION OF CONCEPT
Police information refers to all information obtained, recorded or processed for a
policing purpose. It includes information which is processed (known as data, including
personal data) and information which has been subject to a process of evaluation
(known as intelligence).
