Define each of these terms:
Perception
Interpretation of the environment and is dependent on the acuity of sensory input. Memory
Retention and recall of experience and learning. Executive Function
The higher thinking processes that allow for flexibility, adaptability, and goal directedness. Your Williams text looks at two concepts: cognition and perception. In the right-hand column, list other healthcare team members you will work with to ensure the nursing interventions are carried out, such as RN, nursing assistant, physician, etc. (Don't forget communication -- the patient may not
be fluent in the nurse's language giving the impression the patient can't hear, can't understand, etc. and may be misinterpreted as a problem with perception or cognition.)
