PART 1 Behavioural Theories The learning theory of behavioral psychology, sometimes referred to as behaviorism, is predicated on the notion that all behaviors are learned through conditioning. According to the behavioral perspective, a thorough analysis of the incentives and rewards provided in the classroom is the first step toward understanding student motivation. A desirable object or experience is offered as payment for a certain conduct and is known as a reward. The teacher must offer incentives to students, such as extra credit for finishing arithmetic homework early, in order to assist them overcome their bad emotions. An incentive is a device or situation that encourages or inhibits activity. Encourage kids to complete two English and math assignments first. The use of grades, stars, stickers, and other reinforcers for learning or demerits for bad behavior is an additional effort to involve children via extrinsic means of incentives, rewards, and punishments. There are different types of behavioral theories such as Psychology's cognitive theories that place a strong emphasis on inward-looking phenomena like motivation, problem-solving, decision-making, thinking, and attention. These theories aim to explain various aspects of the mind, such as how information is processed by the brain and how our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors. Humanist beliefs regarding behavior, in contrast to other theories, frequently stressed normal behavior and psychological issues rather than the inherent goodness of people. The unconscious ideas that influence our emotions, attitudes, and personalities are examined by psychodynamic theories. Psychodynamic methods try to identify the underlying factors that lead to unconscious behavior. With Socio-cultural conceptions of motivation, activities are taken part in by people to preserve their identities and interpersonal connections within the community. Students are more motivated to learn if they are a part of a classroom or school environment that fosters learning. We learn how to be people through socialization in much the same way that we learn how to speak, dress, or place a food order in a restaurant by watching and learning from more accomplished members of the culture.
