This assignment is designed to have you as the student work through and master all the
fundamentals needed to develop a lesson plan on a given topic (Properties of 3-D objects)
at a given level (Grade 6). It will also give you the opportunity to apply the knowledge you
have gained to improve your classroom practice. The assignment focuses on the processes
involved in planning a lesson. You will be developing a lesson plan for a single lesson in a
series of lesson activities on Properties of 3-D objects . The single lesson you will design,
although forming part of the greater topic " Properties of 3-D objects ", has a specific focus,
namely, Recognise, visualise and name 3-D objects in the environment and geometric settings,
focusing on rectangular prisms. In developing the lesson plan, you need to bear in mind the
steps involved as well as the description of what each component of a lesson plan entails.
