Use the observation schedule to note down your observations for each period.
Period

Use the observation schedule to note down your observations of the following for each
period:
PERIOD1
The classroom(e.g.is there enough seating,is it clean etc)
The classroom is very neat, every learner is seated and there is enough
space to move around. The atmosphere(e.g.) is it inviting, interesting,
conducive to learning ,well-resourced or not, etc)

The atmosphere is conducive to learning and it has all learning materials for
both teachers and learners.

The subject: English

The teaching approach of the teacher is interactive, learners participate in the lesson,
and they asked questions during the lesson and the teacher also poses questions to
learners to check if they understand the lesson or topic. The learners respond to this
by cooperating with the teacher.
The expectations the teacher has of the learners is that leaners must enter the
classroom quietly in a straight line and when the question is being asked learners
must raise their hands and must wait to be pointed before they answer, and how
learners respond to this , they sit according to the way the teacher has arranged
them. But the learner do make noise when they enter the classroom and some do
not raise their hands and just shout the answer, some they do raise hands and wait
to be pointed by the teacher before they answer.
Time spent on the task (how much of the period is used for teaching and learning)
and what learners do if the there time left:
Time spent on task the teacher introduces the topic and do examples for 10
minutes, then give them class- activity to do, if its double period the teacher mark
their activity and corrections, teacher then gives them home work/activity and
what learners do if there is time left they start writing their home activity.
Learners interactions they participate well in the classroom, especially during the
lessons.
