To what extent does natural law provide a helpful method of
moral decision-making?
Natural Law tries to anchor morality to a solid, unchangeable
base. It does this in order to ensure that Morality is
unchangeable and absolute. However, the theory ultimately
fails in providing a helpful method of moral decision making
because nature and purposes within it are not universally
accepted and further to this Thomist natural law is hindered
more by its medieval outlook, heavily reliant on a Judaeo –
Christian understanding of God & creation.
