P1 – identify how two organisations plan recruitment using internal and external sources
Organisation one: Regent College
How did the vacancy occur?
Resignations/retirement, the first reason of the vacancy might arise with in the
business like regent college is by that the person for the specific job role is leaving
because of the retirement and resignation for example if the person might have got
another job and decides to leave the job also the other reason is the retirement
where the person is no longer able to work because of their age.
The other reason might also depend on their minds and the health and safety
reasons that the business want a high standard in the health and safety and if the
business haven’t got the good health and safety for example a safe and secure
environment to work, and if they don’t find it there then they might have not work
there.
Growth, the other important reason why a vacancy might arise is that the business
have growth and needs more staff for example, for regent college now they are
giving a course to their students that they weren’t doing for example, animal care
and so that there will be teachers needed in order to tech this course to the
students.
Sickness leave or maternity leave, the other important point why a vacancy might
arise is when the person that was working are on a sickness leave for example, one
of the science teacher have a sickness or has gone on the maternity leave, however
the college will need someone else to cover that teacher to tech the subjects to their
teachers.
