Question 5: Creative Writing
40/40
Thick November clouds choke the chaotic city they tower over. The sky turned grey just like
the hair of an old man. A friendship of heavy rain and fog poured onto the streets, darkening
the buildings. An unstoppable metamorphosis: a respected city which was shamed by
Mother Nature.
She was here and staying!
A raven seeks solace towards a shattered window. He committed himself to the sinister
opening in the wall
He failed... crashed down onto the torn carpet through the window on the sixth floor.
The clipped bird searches for flight - but it was no use. Mother Nature was back and had
struck again.
The wind tears down on the abandoned building and showed no pity for the dying bird as
he's thrown into the darkness towards the leather boots of John Knox.
Knoxy loves a good storm: a window of opportunity', as he says.
The steel toe caps of his boots pummel the raven's remains across the room
John Knox secures his gloves, tightened his grip on the crowbar, and strides across to the
door. He had waited for long enough.
