,Inleiding
Voor u ligt toets opdracht 3.2.2 Essay: Visie op sociaal werk binnen de organisatie. In dit
essay wordt het volgende sociale vraagstuk uitgewerkt: Is ABA de juiste methodiek om in te
zetten bij de behandeling van kinderen met autisme?
Dit vraagstuk heeft betrekking op de visie en de werkwijze van praktijkorganisatie Raeger
Autismecentrum Amsterdam. Raeger is een behandelcentrum voor kinderen tussen de 1,5
en 18 jaar met diagnose Autisme Spectrum Stoornis (ASS). Voor de behandeling zet Raeger
ABA in. Het vraagstuk wordt tevens geplaatst binnen de actuele ontwikkelingen van de
samenleving en het beroep als sociaal werker. Er zal gekeken worden naar de achterliggende
opvattingen, waarden, tegengestelde belangen en motieven van de verschillende
betrokkenen. De verschillende belangen worden getoetst aan de kernwaarden van de
sociaal werker en vervolgens wordt er een afweging gemaakt. Ook zullen de eigen normen,
waarden en drijfveren meegenomen worden. Tot slot wordt er een conclusie getrokken.
