Methamphetamine - Answer-Derived from amphetamine, a stimulant, most addictive when taken intravenously. Street names are meth, crank, and in crystal forms, crystal meth or ice. Schedule II. Sympathomimetic - Answer-Any drug that stimulates or mimics the sympathetic nervous system. Club Drugs - Answer-Drugs associated with raves. Most commonly, this group includes MDMA (Ecstasy), GHB and Rohypnol (roofies). Psychopharmacology - Answer-The study of the behavioral effects of drugs. Gateway Drugs - Answer-Drugs - usually tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana - whose use increases the risk that a person will later use harder drugs, such as cocaine and heroin. Reinforcement - Answer-Stimulus or event that follows a response and increases the likelihood that the response will be repeated. In drug use, this can be positive (the effects of the drug) or negative (symptoms of withdrawal).
