Advanced Database Management Systems is an intensive course that builds on the fundamental concepts of database management systems (DBMS) and takes students on a deeper dive into the advanced features and functionalities of modern DBMSs. In this course, students will learn about the latest database technologies and how to design and implement complex database systems to meet the needs of large-scale organizations. Students will explore advanced topics such as data modeling, query optimization, concurrency control, transaction management, data warehousing, and big data processing. Additionally, students will gain hands-on experience with various database systems and tools such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Hadoop. The course will also cover topics such as database security, backup and recovery, and database performance tuning.
