The instructions for this assignment were: A. Interview; and B. Written Report. A. Instruction for the Interview: Engage with an individual facing a particular challenge related to the aspect of diversity you have identified in your concept paper. You are strongly encouraged to engage with someone in an organisation/institution that would not require any psychological support services. It is important that the individual with whom you wish to engage understand that the primary purpose of the conversation is for you to gain a deeper understanding of the individual’s narrative, experience, and the impact of the identified challenge. The conversation is not a counselling session. Be mindful of and respect the privacy and confidentiality shared during the interview. Obtain the interviewee’s written consent before commencing the interview. You could conduct the interview using an online platform (i.e. Skype, or Zoom, etc.). All identifying details should remain private and must be anonymised in the written report. B. Written Report: Once the interview has been conducted and transcribed, the student must write a report. It must be evident in your report that you have consulted and integrated a broad base of relevant and contextualised academic literature and theory. In your report: - Define and highlight the chosen aspect of diversity as well as the issues, challenges, and its particular complexities within the South African context; - Address and explore the impact of the diversity-related issue on the individual, their family, their community, and their feeling of belonging in South Africa; - Explore the challenges/hurdles/potentialities for fostering a deeper sense of acceptance and inclusion of people who have experience with the chosen aspect of diversity; - Critically engage with how the interviewee’s narrative has contributed to your diversity literacy; and  - Explore and engage with the relevance and role of Psychology, as a discipline and profession, in addressing issues related to diversity in the South African context.
