In this assignment I will describe the skills required to open and run a tuition centre smoothly. I will
determine the areas that need development and will also analyse those development needs. I will
also describe the legal and financial aspects that will affect the beginning of my business. Later on I
will analyse the personal development needed to run the business successfully.
The business that I am planning to open is the Ideal Tuition Centre that will be a sole trader business
with an aim to grow and maximise its profit. Ideal Tuition Centre will not only focus on the money,
but most importantly it would focus on the future of the new generation by helping them achieve
better with their education.
The skills I will need to run for my Tuition Centre are:

> Accuracy and reliability
> Confirmation of attendance
> Be good at providing information and help
> Be good at providing assistance and help

Observation skills involves witnessing things closely and observing patterns or trends in
sales/services.
Negotiation skills are to gain agreement about a next step with an individual or group, in a manner
that is clear and respectful to all concerned parties/individuals.
Accuracy and reliability when you think you have found the correct file or document always check to
make sure you are right. This is important in a paper-based system if there are several files with
similar names. This will evolve with my tuition centre as a lot of paper based work would be
involved, such as students tests, workbooks etc.
Confirmation of attendance is when for any meeting you need to know the number of people
attending because this affects other requirement, such as the number of refreshments, size of room
and copies of documents.
Problem solving is when researching the alternatives and devises an appropriate method or course
of action, which resolves an obstacle or difficulty.
