Examining the concerns of the ethical issues that are
disrupting the communities. The organisation that I will be
analysing is Primark.

The local community

A local community is a group of interacting people sharing an environment. In human communities,
intent, belief, resources, preferences, needs, risks, and a number of other conditions may be present
and common, affecting the identity of the participants and their degree of cohesiveness. The Local
community refers to the neighbourhood that the residents live in and many businesses have a
national importance to the business activities especially Primark , which has crucial significance to
local communities, because many of their products and services are lower prices than any other
competitors and has excellent quality in the clothing product.
The local community refers to the people who are surrounded by the business. Primark should
operate ethically in order to attract the loyalty of the local community. The community can benefit
from the business in many ways, for instance Primark are able to provide jobs for local people, they
also have a business that sell high quality of products with a good value of money.

One of the main problems for local is the noise pollution. There are Primark factories that can be
found near/in the local community which makes a lot of noise due to all the production going on
which will affect people around the area by creating noise. This disturbs the local community and
wildlife which means people leave the area and move somewhere else. The recommendation I
would like to give Primark is to buy new machines which will run more smoothly without any noise
whatsoever. This will give a good name for Primark and make them run more effectively and
efficiently.

The National community

The national community refers to the people or organisations that have several aims and objectives
to help the common political, economic, social and cultural identity that has a defined geographical
location. One of the main problems for this is underpaid staff which is ethically wrong this mainly
happens in countries such as India and Bangladesh which has a huge effect. This is against the law
and all staff should be paid the right amount be treated fair but in third world countries staff are
being treated bad and given little amount of pay the amount they would get paid is around £3 for a
whole days work which is really bad. Primark chose to work in India and Bangladesh to get their
products from their suppliers there mainly due to its cheap because they can get away with most of
the stuff such as underpay, long hours and bad working conditions, I would recommend Primark to
send a few of their workers to check out their suppliers see the working conditions and check if they
are getting paid the right amount which will give the business a good name by doing this.

The regional community

Regional community means the people living in a region eg: the wine region of Napa Valley will be
