Therefore, throughout this essay I will make the case that, within the
novel Room, the telling of stories is significant in allowing the reader to
understand the struggles of characters, but only to an extent as the
narrator remains unreliable.

1. The significance of telling stories within the novel Room can be
seen through how Jack learns, and with each story he tells they
become more intellectual and imaginative, conveying how Jack
narration of storytelling allows him to enthuse his learning.
2. Following from this, telling stories is also significant within Room,

‘Jack’.
3. Alternatively, I also believe the significance of telling stories within
